Thank you for your interest in helping FES and the children in remote area schools of Ecuador.

The children of Ecuador's remote schools need your help. The success of FRIENDS of ECUADOR SCHOOLS is governed by public donation. Children in these remote communities of Ecuador are often impoverished, the education facilities largely insufficient, and are lacking the basic tools for effective teaching.

There are many ways to offer support, including:

    Cash Donations

    ... the easiest way to show your support for FES.

    Your cash donation will…
    • Purchase school materials and/or books;

    • Purchase soccer and basketballs for schools;

    • Pay for additional teacher work hours.

    Contact us for details.

    FES reserves the right to determine the location and what type of materials are purchased and given to each school.

    Other ways to help...

    • Donate consumable materials for the students and schools - Contact us for details.

    • Deliver/Carry donated materials personally - Requires some planning and must be during school months (similiar times as US schools).

    • Adopt a school - Funds will help a specific community or communities to add needed materials or pay for the teacher to teach longer hours. US schools can communicate and become “sister” schools, writing letters and fund raising for their school.

    • Adopt a class - Funds will help a specific grade level at a school.

    • Volunteer as a teacher.

Your donations help:
  • Preserve local culture;

  • Reduce migration to large cities and other countries;

  • Enable persons to have and afford a family in their own community; and

  • Improve the local education.

The Wish List

The students are always in need of consumable materials such as pencils, paper, notebooks, toothbrushes and toothpaste, rulers, compasses, dictionaries, maps, colored pencils, paints and brushes, puzzles, erasers, colored paper, dry erase markers, glue, new or used towels etc.

Wall maps, white boards and bulletin boards.

Reading materials written in Spanish.

Storage cabinets to protect the books from humidity and insects.

Cash Donations
